Jameel Webster a.k.a J-Dubz has been in the rap game for just over 10 years. Slowly mastering the craft, he is now ready to take on the industry with his own unique style.
Hailing from the notorious Cape Flats Suburb known as Mitchell's Plain, Dubz maintains a strong connection to his home town and always expresses a love for his City through his music.
In 2009 Dubz was part of a four man rap group called Grand Alliance, who achieved two number one singles on the Goodhope FM SA and Hip Hop charts respectively.
After many years of silence he has now decided to take on a solo career.
Dubz' most recent performances include events such as Sizzled (Outdoor music festival) and 21st Century Creatives (Trench Town Obs).
His style is a blend of Jazz, Boom Bap, and Soul. However he does not shy away from experimenting with the "New School" sound.

J Dubz has been writing songs since the age of 14. He started out as a R&B/soul singer/writer and he performed in the 2008 musical called "Smokkel" which was sponsored by the Arts and Culture Department of the City of Cape Town in partnership with New Africa Theater and the Baxter Theater.
